Everything’s Kosher
Doya Entertainment
Overview
Everything’s Kosher is a feature-length personal documentary about Adam, a divorced Jewish father from Chicago who moves to a small town in Germany - once a Nazi stronghold - to be close to his daughter. In his quest to break the generational cycle of abandonment, Adam attempts to reconnect with family, his faith, and his identity by opening a Jewish deli where few would expect it. What unfolds is a vulnerable, sometimes humorous, and deeply human story of love, resilience, and reconciliation.
Told in a first-person format, the film explores both past trauma and present healing. It’s a story about second chances - with family, tradition, and oneself.
Role & Leadership
Beyond mixing, I stepped in as Post Supervisor – a role that became necessary due to the inexperience of the director/producer (who was also the main subject of the film).
After an early conversation revealed uncertainty about next steps, I proposed a plan to lead the post-production process. I established a structure, set expectations, and introduced an editing consultant to help bridge gaps between departments. This included coordinating between Germany, Poland, and LA – syncing time zones, setting feedback rounds, and guiding delivery.

the result
Everything’s Kosher was completed successfully and went on to screen at multiple international film festivals. I personally attended the film’s premiere at Filmfest Oberursel in Germany, where we received a warm audience response, thoughtful questions, and several heartfelt reviews.
The film is now available for home viewing via VOD platforms, which made it even more important to ensure the final mix held up both in theatrical screenings and casual viewing setups.
